Retired Technical Project Leader and Senior Oracle Database Administrator. My passion is photography. I started taking pictures more than thirty years ago with a manual Ricoh camera and a Tokina 35 to 135 zoom lens.

My camera of choice is a Nikon D800. I am currently struggling with a bad case of NAS (Nikon Acquisition Syndrome).

It always amazes me that although excellent camera equipment is a big plus, it is the eye behind the camera that makes all the difference. Some of my best photographs were taken years ago with the Ricoh.

And now, so I can get in an over 50 group ... I was born in 1953.
