I had a Nikon D 300 I got around Dec 2007. At the time I know nothing about photography. Over the years I have tried to learn as much as I can. My other passion is computers so I figured I would marry up both skills to see what I can do. I now like taking shots to seeing what I can do with the pictures in Photoshop and other software packages.

The more pictures I collect the more I can do when I am working on composites.

I am now working with a Nikon D3s with the following lenes.

Nikon 70-200mm VR 2.8 FX

Nikon 18-70mm 4.5 DX (next upgrade)

Nikon 14-24mm f2.8

Nikon 105mm VR 2.8 macro FX

Nikon 50mm VR 1.8 FX

Update -----------------------------------July 2013

My current goal is to master composite images. In the last year I have been on a Joel Grimes high. I love pulling HDR backgrounds with people but I have not mastered this yet. Pulling off the fake is my major goal. I know how to use studio lighting but need to purchase my own gear to get to the next level.

I am a member of NPS (Nikon Professional Services) Canada and my primary camera is a Nikon D3. I have 2 people that shoot for me and I have learnt as much as I can to train and hire them. We use Lightroom for our workflow and just love this product. I have worked with Photoshop for many years and always find I can always learn more. I have a love hate relationship with Photoshop because it is a black whole that sucks a ton of time. I find if I don't use it I lose it (the skills that is). I went to Photoshop world last year (2012) and will be attending again this year. When I go this time I will be much more focused on looking at mastering composites.

I used flickr as my cutting room floor. This is where I learn and drop images so I can find them to make composite images. Over the years I have over 27,000 images to pull from and I have had 1.5 million views. This archive is great to pull from when I need something. These images are only a portion of my 3 terabytes of images I have to pull from. I started my flickr account March 28, 2008 so I have been collecting for 5 years now.
