Under the leadership of Mark Leslie, Veritas Software transformed into a 5,500-employee, multibillion-dollar company, and in 2000, became the 10th largest independent software company by revenue and third largest by market capitalization. It was also honored as a Fortune 1000 company. Upon retirement, Mark went on to lecture at Stanford Graduate School of Business, teaching courses in entrepreneurship and sales organization.
