Kit

Bought a Konica Minolta A200 back in October 2004, which I loved and took scores of shots with. Thought at first it was quite big and was overwhelmed but a keen learner.

All the photos in my flickr with the A200 have not been touched, edited, cropped, photoshop'd or anything ... they're just taken and uploaded as seen fit!

I bought myself a really nice Nikon D80 (review at dpreview) a few months ago, with a 18-135mm lens

Also bought a smashing Sigma 50-500mm telephoto zoom lens that I absolutely adore. It's not easy to hold and you feel your camera bag come the end of day out trekking, but being able to get up so close with such vibrancy is great. Not for the feint hearted nor for the weak armed ... no stabilisation means careful breathing and many duff shots but I'm getting used to it!

Also use a circular polariser and UV filter.

And carry my kit in a gorgeous Billingham bag! :-)

I think that's geeky enough :-)
