Greetings and Peace in the New Year to you, Mark. Your portraiture works are incredible. You are mastering the true "art of photography," not just "taking excellent pictures." There is a huge difference...people with good cameras can take excellent pictures. Only a master can capture life. Before going to study on university, then to a lot of years of commercial photography, I studied originally under my late grandfather who was a master photo artist of great renowned in the USA and did some work for National Geographic. I call him the "Ansel Adams of Color". Grandfather told me, "You must capture the beauty of reality and emotion, not people and places. Then you will capture life." You, Mr. Brunner, are marvelously capturing life! Continue your fantastic work. You may very well get that NG cover soon! With best regards, Eric R. The skill in which these photos are taken........ The subject matter. ..The stories portrayed here. They reach in and clench my soul. They are gripping. They are thought provoking and expose the full spectrum of emotions. Bravo. And thank you for sharing these experiences.

Mark, After browsing at your pool of photographs I cannot but be amazed. You are so talented! You are able to capture the soul of your subjects in a moment and that is not an easy task. Your portraits and improvised images are delightful, interesting, and very different. I believe you belong with those National Geographic photographers and if you are not one of them, they are losing out. I absolutely love your Mali series; looking at those images makes me want to go there and, trust me, I would if I could. Travel and take amazing photos; what a life! I am glad that Flickr counts you among its members so that millions can benefit from admiring your truly amazing shots! chony (a Chilean living in Toronto)
