Hobbyist picture taker. Sometimes I get lucky. Sometimes I tinker away in an attempt to create something "half" decent. It's all for fun. I'm using flickr to cataglogue my photos for quick reference, and also to join a couple of groups that may remind me to dust off my camera so that I don't get rusty.

I have a really good Sony mirrorless camera with some spiffy glass (for those seriouser days) ; a Canon p&s with a killer optical zoom (when I hope to glance a whale off shore) ; and my rather remarkable iPhone that does some pretty magical stuff for smaller web photos, thanks in part to Snapseed.

I'm a semi-retired software developer living in BC. I'm also a casual concert band musician, with my main focus these days being tuba (love me some bass). Previously it was percussion (all sorts), and piano before that.
