Hello and welcome to my website.

I first started to get interested in photgraphy as a teenager back in the 1980s using a succession of Pentax and subsequently Minolta SLRs. I joined Flickr solely with the intention of showcasing and archiving my efforts at travel photography. However in January 2008 I finally went digital with a Canon EOS 400D / Sigma 18-200mm package. WOW!! Suddenly I re-discovered all those things that had originally excited me about photography but now with the ability to learn from (and hopefully rectify) my mistakes in real time rather than having to wait for those ambitious but disappointing results to come out of the darkroom.

I still love to travel and will contnue to post my adventures on here but I have also started to dabble in studio photography and intend to try and develop this further.

I make no claim to be anything other than an enthusiastic amateur. However I do hope that occassionally you might come across something from me that will either inspire you to go out there and see the world or that simply brings back happy memories from your own adventures............and very occassionally I hope I also manage to make you say "WOW!" as well.
