I bought my first camera at the age of 16 (I think) and quickly discovered that making photos is something for me. A way to be creative without the need to pick up a paintbrush (I can't draw to save my life!).

Flickr gives me the possibility to look at work that others have produced as well as learning from comments & critisim on my own photos.

A quick note concerning contacts: I try to view my contact stream on a daily basis and in order to keep it managable, I tend to keep only between 100 - 120 contacts at any one time. That way the stream moves at a pace that time allows me to keep up with.

I am always happy to hear from new contacts but also have no problem losing contacts should they discover that they have no interest in my work. Personally i believe that quality is better than quantity.
