I first met Artsy on another photosharing site and her photographs captivated me. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met online and on top of that her photography is insipiring. If it weren't for her (and people like her) I never would have picked up a camera. Its a totally selfless act to encourage others in such a competitive field but thats what she does.

The main reason I have stayed so long on Flickr are people like ArtsySF. She puts in the time, the thoughtfulness, and the artistic passion that drives this site. The main reason I have stayed so long on Flickr are people like ArtsySF. She puts in the time, the thoughtfulness, and the artistic passion that drives this site. I always feel my work is validated when it gets chosen or invited to be placed in one of the many sites she manages. Her work on flicker is as varied as her art work itself....ceramics...imagery...travel...causes...and her pearl of a city SF.

i happen to be one of those flickrites that was lucky enough to find another flickrite living right around the corner from my home...but ArtsySF is NOT just another flickrite...she now is a good friend, a fun person to go on photoshoots with, and has so much talent that she never has UNDER 75 pics on her Explore chart! ArtsySF's fascinating photostream includes anything from "sneaky candid people shots"; objects d'art from all over the world -- including her beautiful home town of san francisco -- AND photos of her other artistic accomplishments -- her ceramics, sculptures and paintings! and her photoshopping skills, that she uses on some of her pics, are progressing daily...it's amazing that ONE individual can create this much art in one lifetime....so, her flickr name of ArtsySF, is right on the mark... it's also no wonder that Artsy has a huge "entourage" of flickrites commenting on and faving her pics, on a regular basis....i should know...i am proud to be one of them, lol! she reciprocates, by commenting and/or faving back on EVERY single one of the people that comment on HER pics... for a real treat, i suggest you go visit her photostream....NOW!!
