Marieke Plasier (13-07-1982, Tegelen) graduated from the art academy St. Joost in Breda in 2008.

Her favourite photo camera is a Hasselblad 500 CM, but for her commercial work she uses a Nikon D200.

She creates scenes which represent her dreams and fantasies of the past.

“When I wake up in the morning, my head is filled with details. Details of the dreams I had last night. The weirdness and bizarreness of the dreams occupy me. I think it’s fascinating how certain elements come together in one place. Dreams are not there to be understood, dreams are for philosophizing. Dreams are little artworks by themselves, that all took shape in your head while you were asleep.”

She is experienced with photography for events, weddings, portraits, interior and mood photography for several clients. That makes her an all-round photographer with experience in commercial projects.
