I'm Marie who lives in Stockholm, Sweden and i’m an amateur / hobby photographer. For over 13 years (since June 2011) i have been a member of the amazing and beautiful virtual world Second Life, called "SL".

Second Life is the world's first (founded in 2003) and currently the largest virtual world that is completely built by users and is a mirror to real life, where you can be who you want, create and do exactly what you want. It is not a game, but a social community that is geographically structured like the real world.

I have spent quite a lot of time in Second Life over the years discovering this fantastic world. Such as meeting people from all over the world and visited amazing places, building and creating a great place to live on, sometimes going to concerts or other events and taking care of of my small cat breeding which is a nice hobby and also is my little business in SL.

This photo collection is completely dedicated to my avatar and her life in Second Life and nothing else will be here. It is a documentation of her current life and what it looks like in selected places in Second Life. My avatar is shown in many pictures, although she is rarely the focus of them, but it is usually the place she is in and the surroundings that is the focus.

My avatar also has the name Marie, (Marie Starlight) but mostly called Leah-Marie all the time from the beginning. During the first two years of my time in Second Life, i photographed a lot that was uploaded to a photo collection on deviantArt and which was a documentary of my avatar’s first years in Second life. Due to lack of time and that i have been concentrating on other things in Second Life, the photo collection has not been updated for several years, although i have pretty often intended to do so.
