I am a practising artist, I have completed a BA honours in Fine Art in July 2007. I am starting an MA in Digital Image and Media in September 2009.

I became hooked on photography when shooting decay abandonment and dereliction images to act as reference matter for my paintings. These I would then manipulate digitally before making a painting from them.

As I have become more learned in photo editing software I have found that I can alter the original persective of a scene. I love the old film photographs and techniques from the early days of photography and try to mimic these effects by adding textures, filters and overlays. I still love the colours and patinas of decay and most of my images are layered with textures to add mood and ambience. I also still love to photograph anything old, ruined, decaying, abandoned, historical. I also chemically manipulate photos and even hand colour or overpaint them, anyting to create that certain feel to my images.

Although architecture landscape and flora are my fav things to shoot, I seem to put a frame around anything looking for that perfect shot. I am still learning and loving every second of the journey, I still love to paint but it seems to take second place these days.
