.Photography is in my blood. My dad had a darkroom in the 1930's and belonged to a camera club in Pittsburg.
I shoot for fun and sef-expression and to record memories. When my late aunt Rita moved into assisted living, her most treasured possession was her shoebox of snapshots.
I would like to shoot for profit too, but my equipment and skills make that an unlikely event. Fine photography is beyond my reach. I use a point and shoot, or my I pad camera, and IPoto editor ap.
In the past i've used PhotoShop Express , but the desk top died a while back and I have only this I pad with it's auto correct that I can't shut off
And the I pad keyboard is a challenge.
And my Internet connection is slow. It often takes a while to open pictures full screen from the contacts thumbnails page.
Some days are better than others.
All to explain my skimpy comments.
I'm sorry. I wish I had more hobby time. But I fave a lot and it's fine with me if you're of similar mind. Comments are great but I'll take a fav over nothing. Feedback matters.
Initially, I was just here to store stuff. Now I see a whole community sharing their lives and ideas and stuff. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me. I have limited travel opportunities compared to many of you and have found here a way to see the parts of the world I'm missing. It's like National Geographic on steroids.
I am lucky to live in paradise and will share it back.
Thanks for reading. I like to read profiles, so I thought I should share mine.
Sliders are my friends. Years ago, when I had a 35mm film camera, I learned about the zone system and the basics still apply.
When I play with sliders I am usually trying to recreate what my brain recorded at the time, which the digits or pixels didn't quite get. Colors pop in my eyeballs in a way they don't in my low end camera. An upgrade is on my bucket list.
And Sometimes I just love the eye candy of supersaturation.
