I have known Lucia for some time now. She is her photography: she pulls no punches, she is passionate, caring, creative, challenging and compassionate; she is filled with an inate honesty and talent which explodes uniquely, through her camera's lens. Her name means light. That light often penetrates dark areas in need of illumination - places we may not feel comfortable viewing - but that same light illuminates the innocence of a child's eyes with such tenderness. There is often a narrative thread throughout a sequence of pieces. She may pop up, when you least expect, with something wonderful and unique. I am proud to say that Lucia is my friend and that I love her for all of the above and more. She is brilliant!
