Artista de expressão multimídia, Marcella França atua na área de vídeo e novas tecnologias, pintura, perfomance e, há dois anos, graffiti. Busca desenvolver projetos híbridos que co-relacione as linguagens diferentes em que transita.

Seu interesse está na expressão do corpo num instante de movimento. Através da “decupagem” de expressões corporais, freqüentemente tiradas de sua vivência com a dança contemporânea, o corpo é metáfora do movimento interno no “devir” dos sentimentos humanos. Seu interesse no movimento e na estética do corpo está visceralmente impregnado tanto nas pinceladas fortes e rápidas em tinta acrílica , nos seus graffitis como nos seus projetos de vídeo.

As a mulmedia artist Marcella´s works mixes different kinds of medias like paints, perfomance, video and graffiti, aways creating contemporary projects with hybrid languages.

Marcella has a long way as a classic and contemporary ballet dancer. It is the main motivation of her art work and that was the reason of studying nudes. Her paints almost always explores bodies expressions and these are taken from the movements of a dance sequence. In her point of view, the body language is the instrument of communication with the world and it’s the mirror of desires, frustrations and all feelings inside.

Her work is conceptual and existentialist. It has a dialog with the contemporary scene as it was something in constant change. The forms she makes and the strong and dynamic brush strokes are linked to the imaginary feelings forms of the human “self” and the all movements inside of the contemporary soul.
