Hey,

I am glad that you visit my photostream and profile!

My name is Manuel, I am born in 1986 and I currently live in Hamburg (Germany). I'm born in Münster (NRW) and studied physics there and came to HH in 2013 to get my PhD here.

Photography was always one of my interests, which probably comes from my father, who has always been the one taking pictures in our family and made me curious about how stuff works.

Despite some old analogue Minolta camera I used a little in my teenage years, my first digital camera was a Fujifim Finepix S6500fd, which basically woke up the photography fever in me again. It was not a DSLR but a bridge camera, but with all the possibility for custom settings and even a zoom lense with a turning ring, I loved it!

But after XMas 2009 I made myself a present and bought a Canon EOS 30D on Ebay. Most of the pictures you see in my photostream are taken with this camera and I think it's really a great piece of work! I love using it, but I also got to know the limits of this camera.

Which is why I made myself another present in December 2014, buying a Canon EOS 6D with a 24-105/f4, so I finally made the step to a full frame sensor. And what can I say, for me the performance of the camera is just insanely great!

So, beginning with 2015, photos posted here are most likely to be taken with the 6D.

Since I like hanging around on FlickR, I have been a Moderator of The Challenge Factory and would like you to come and join our group to play some competitions :)
