We are two close friends working in advertising and filmmaking industries. We have always been stimulated by the ambition of creating solid works and interest to modern and traditional domestic crafts. We have been searching for an object to bring out our taste and experiences. We wanted to renaissance something already exist with a story, rather than creating something new. Then we stuck on “ottomans”. Since we believe that there is unfortunately no place to buy ottomans we really wanted which are both visually and functionally very important for domestic designs, we decided to create “Manifatura”. In many parts of Istanbul, we have searched for ottomans with stories. That’s why we named them after İstanbul’s parts. They all have the reflections of the parts where they were born, lived and died. Number of our ottomans which were met in various parts of İstanbul and wanting to live their second life will increase and be excited to meet their new owners. Follow us to join our journey.
