I am married and have eight year old twin daughters. My day job is sixth grade reading and math teacher and I moonlight as a member of the Jackson City Council. Photography is one of my favorite hobbies. I was inspired to join flickr after reading Trey Ratcliff's blog at www.stuckincustoms.com.

When I was a child my parents bought me a point and shoot. While going to college a roommate suggested I get a Nikon FM2. That Nikon FM2 helped me learn the basics such as shutter speed, aperture, focus and lighting. From there I went to a Nikon F100. I have gotten away from film and now use digital. I have a Nikon D7000 and about 90% of the time I use a Tamron 10-24 mm lens. Most of the photos I've posted to flickr have been taken with that Nikon D7000 and Tamron 10-24 mm lens.
