Rory grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. He holds a B.A. in English from Yale University and an M.F.A. in Dramatic Writing from New York University. Rory is currently working on a documentary film about the Graff Lab in Los Angeles, a world famous graffiti art park in the Pico Union district. Rory wrote, directed and edited the short documentary MOUNTAIN MAN, which was an Official Selection of the 2011 Raindance, Santa Cruz and Culture Unplugged Film Festivals and winner of the Silver Sierra Award at the 2011 Yosemite Film Festival. Delaney also wrote, directed and edited the full length documentary TOXIC SOUP, which was an Official Selection of the 2010 Atlanta Film Festival, New Jersey Film Festival, Twin Cities Film Festival, and the Louisville International Festival of Films, among others. TOXIC SOUP made its national television broadcast premiere on Free Speech TV in June 2011. Delaney is also an associate producer of BOMB IT 2, the follow-up to Jon Reiss’ seminal global graffiti documentary BOMB IT. Rory also wrote the short film ROSY, Official Selection of the 2008 Florida and Nantucket film festivals. ROSY was recognized with a screenwriting craft award at the First Run Film Festival and went on to screen at the DGA-West in Los Angeles. In 2010 Delaney was named a Kentucky Colonel by Governor Steve Beshear. Rory lives in LA with his wife Maya Meinert and their two pugs.
