As Manatee County’s conservation team, our mission is to conserve and protect the area’s natural resources and establish ourselves as pioneers of innovation, connecting special places through a system of greenways and blueways; and offering environmental education and stewardship opportunities that foster a conservation ethic and connection to nature in context with Manatee County’s heritage.

 

Mantee County's Natural Resources Department manages over 30,000 acres of natural lands in Manatee County, Florida including the following preserves:

* Duette

* Rye

* Emerson Point

* Robinson

* Riverview Pointe

* Moody Branch

* Neal

* Headwaters at Duette

* Leffis Key

* Jiggs Landing

* Pine Island

* Devil's Elbow

* Perico Island

 

These preserves are County owned and managed lands set aside for the residents and visitors of Manatee County to enjoy. The land is protected wildlife habitat and staff works to maintain native plant and animal communities through restoration and conservation activities.
