I am always awed by Saffanna's ability to connect through the lens with her subjects. Her pictures are always interesting, sometimes amusing but forever inspiring. Her posts are a joy to read and I'm happy to have connected with her while floating in cyber space. ...and it will be my pleasure to feed her Mexicali food when she arrives in vegas because I know she'll have an Italian hoagie waiting for me when I disembark off of Amtrak. :-)

At first it was Saffanna's comments on my photos that caught my attention. Every one showing attention to detail and intelligent wit. Then I became interested her photos; not always sharp, but each one taken with love and creativity. Later her excellent collages piqued more interest and after a few questions, my collage "starter kit" arrived in the mail. I now can't read a magazine without a pair of scissors at hand. Her photos have become technically, as well as aesthetically, awesome; her macros sharp as any. Starting with a few simple questions about photo manipulation she has gone on to produce some beautiful creations. Now I am with the one with the questions. She has become a friend and supporter and has much respect from me. I'm sure that her wit and wisdom permeate everything that she does and lucky is the child to be in her classroom.
