I have been involved with photography as a hobby for over 50 years. My first SLR was a Zenit that was completely manual with a separate light meter. Until the mid 1990s I shot film or colour transparencies. I also did my own black and white processing. I found the move to digital opened up so many more possibilities for creativity. My choice of subjects has always been varied, including travel, aviation, nature (particularly birds and flowers), portraits and increasingly macro. I am based in London, where I have lived my whole life and still find it interesting and a source of inspiration.
