Latest update, now getting more confident and not so precious. I love looking at other peoples images, and hope you will all share with me my sense of humour. If I comment on your shots and you find my commentary too sharp, please tell me, don't ignore me. I love a bit of banter

An accountant who used to do a lot of 35m photography 25 years ago, with Olympus Kit. Recently got the bug again due to a Fuji Bridge camera. After two years of getting frustrated with the good lens but the slow response of the auto-focus, I decided to take the plunge, so have invested in a Canon 7D, and supplemented that with a Sigma 150-500 lens to concentrate on wildlife. Now using a Canon 100-400 which I think gives sharper images.

Must learn to put the Canon 18_135 lens back on for some of the time and take some other photos!

I know I have dived in at the deep end in the digital world, so all comments on my photos are very welcome.

Also now added a 60mm macro and learning not to flinch when things get a little close.

I prefer to show as taken, and only will sharpen, adjust contrast and crop if I think it benefits. I am sure you have all heard this before. Am now prepared to explore more of the processing side of things, BUT its much easier if you get it right in the first place. OK, am doing more on the poota now, but will not make something that wasn't there.

I tend these days to concentrate on local wildlife, and enjoy walking, meeting fellow photographers, and just learning.

This has been supplemented by joining a local camera club, and the learning curve has accelerated.

Usual privacy warning. If you want to use, ask, you might be surprised!! But don't just take. You have been warned.
