iMAL is a centre for digital culture and technology, located in the Brussels canal zone.

With almost 20 years of experience in this field, iMAL positions itself as a reference for digital art and culture in Brussels, Belgium and abroad.

The architecture of the new centre and the new programming will link a wide variety of activities for a diverse audience.

Our ambition is to promote emerging practices in art, culture and digital technology and to bring them together in exhibitions, performances, meetings or workshops.

iMAL also wants to stimulate these new practices through education, support of artists (production, residencies) and through its commitment to research projects.

iMAL is far from the race for innovative and technological solutions. Our focus lies more in being a place of reflection, where we take the time to question and contextualise the current and future challenges of our post-digital society.
