firstly, i wanna say thank you www.flickr.com/photos/justcharlaine/ (northpolemama) for getting me a pro account ! i'll make sure to put it to good use! thaaanks again! :D

I think that society has greatly misconstrued the idea of self identity. An identity of a person is usually described by the people they are with, what they do, or even where they are from. I believe in individuality, and that who you are as a person shouldn't be described by your relation to someone, or where you were born, or where you work. When asked the question "who are you?", the intention of the person who asks is to identify you. Finding out their relation or connection to you through people you might both commonly know is simply an added bonus.

I strongly think that people should be stating what their personality is like, giving the whole long-story of who you are. I believe in describing yourself down to your very soul, what you believe in and how you view the world. I'd pour out my soul to almost anyone, even if it makes me vulnerable to judgement, just so that the person will know exactly who and what i am. Let there be no false assumptions or conclusions about me, let people know as many facts about me. This is why i think that my identity cannot be fitted into a simple sentence that I can quickly whip into an introduction when meeting someone new; but it is a story of who i am, was, and what i might possibly become.

my camera is very much apart of my soul.

a big hearty hug to those who constantly visit, have dropped comments, marked faves, added notes and taken the time to write testimonials. its truly an honor to be recognized even if it is in the teeniest and faintest way. knowing that some take joy in my passion for this form of art only drives me to do better and keep shooting :)

thanks for your time!

cheers

God has given so much talent to this young wonderful lady. Her works narrates all the best possible things that actually can do, but she's always on top of things to see it first compared to others. I hope you will polish your understanding not just aesthetic but the value of creativity towards capturing what you see and document it in your photo work. Remember, take care of yourself and DON'T LET any individual or others take advantage of you, use you, poison you, separate your friendship with anyone, or turn you into a narrow person and negative person. I'm rooting this girl, and pray for a better future. *hugs*

I think Sophie's photostream would make author and speaker Rick Warren very, very proud. He reminds me that "the most important things in life aren't things... they're PEOPLE." Her photos are brimming with the great adventure of daily life shared people. Lots of people. In an all too selfish world, this speaks powerfully of the attitude of her heart. In addition, she captures the adventure with the keen eye of a photojournalist. As for her portrait work, hmmm... I think best viewed to the backdrop of John Williams' instrumental Across the Stars. I love your intriguingly exotic and classy portraits (and admire how you capture beauty without ever needing to resort to the lurid or tawdry... keep the high road :) With that, keep your love for people and fresh eye for the compellingly beautiful. what can i say that you haven't figured out by looking through her photostream? sofu has all the talent in the world and has gone through spaces and emotions just to come up with these amazing, eye-catching and vibrant pictures. but let me say, one thing I know about my sofu sophie israa irish lassie tomyam buddybear is that she has always been a positive person; a girl full of life and ideas and is just bursting with novel appreciation at discovering something new. the nicest thing about sofu is she will cheer you up in times of extreme depression or boredom with her knack of hitting the spot right at the funny bone. it has something to do with the mixed-duh blood, after all malaysians are crudely funny and irish people drink beer, therefore you turned out to be just the right mix of drunken cheer XDDDD ah, about her skills, now that's a different lane. sofu knows how to expand her repertoire in her fields of forte, and i see it in the way that everytime she embarks on a journey of photography, as she will give her all and not stop just because something happens to be blocking her way. sofu is adamant in getting what she wants in a photo needless of the discomfort or failures and she continues until she arrives at her point of success. and when she gets there, she is in full bloom and all the joy she emanates comes forth in these very pictures you see. sofu does not do shortcuts, she goes full-throttle :) hey israa israa, i may be volatile and temperamental and the world might be getting darker and gloomier everyday, but YOU are a constant, and because of that, among all the ugly weeds that grow in my garden, i'll always have a smiling flower standing tall among the worthless, radiating the sunlight and bringing back all the happiness in the world for me to open my eyes and see that things will always turn out bright again. heart you darlin' and may this friendship thing work for ever and EVA!!!

I came across Malayrish's pictures last December, when I noticed a picture titled Kate and I being uploaded. I had a look through the rest of the pictures and found them colourful and interesting for a young lady. I immediatley added her as a friend. I later found out her name was Sophie / Sophia and that her Mum was Irish, we made friends and i stayed tuned in to all new pictures from Sophie. There were some exciting opportunities ahead for Sophie, as a generous friend gave her a PRO account, when she was running out of space, and after some grumbling about her camera, her parents got her a new Canon 400D. There was no stopping the creative Sophie now as her sister was having a baby, she was made shool photographer and has made some very interesting pictures since then, many have made Explore on Flickr, as well as attracting friends from all over the World. Some of her pictures are staged, some taken on the spot, there are great fun pictures, she has also captured excellent pictures of dawn in her country, beautiful and stunning self portraits and of course lots of friends pictures as well. This young, friendly and talented and beautiful lady photographer will go places with her camera and we will hear lots more about her in the future. I wish you every sucess Sophie and thanks for all the tips I have got from your pictures. I may not comment on them all, But I have seen all your pictures. Enjoy looking through Malayrish's pictures and call back often. Thanks for your friendship Sophie. *-* Joe Cashin*-*
