Matthias Koch was born in 1964 and is originally from Southern Germany. He has lived and worked in Chile, Venezuela, Mexico and France, where he now lives.

He uses photography as a tool to reveal a reality in a supposedly familiar world, opening a breach from which emerges a questioning that upsets our daily inattention and our often lazy perception.
