Making Freedom is a Teaching American History Project funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Making Freedom serves teachers from Burlington, Bedford, Lexington, Woburn, Somerville, & Minuteman Career and Technical High School in Bedford, Massachusetts. Key areas of focus for the professional development offered by this project include teaching how historians think, digital storytelling as a way of understanding how history is constructed, and analysis of primary and secondary sources.
