===Why flickr?===

Didn't like film.

.

But digi Canons became affordable. Hurrah!

.

Won a photo comp in the NME with a teeny digishot from Glastonbury!

But frustrated by shutter lag etc, bought an unaffordable Canon dSlr.

Got a photo of Coate Water in the Independent.

But, in general, even I wasn't looking at my photos....

Then (in 2007), finally got to tour Europe.

.

Signed up to flickr to share the photos with relatives.

Dumped all the old stuff on.

Met some great contacts.

Joined Car Memories & Guesses.

.

And UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Photo'd some bands.

Indulged my gothic side.

Got invited to increasingly obscure groups.

And to a wedding in India.

Took a photo in Mumbai

.

"Good shot" said Jeevan Balwant of Mumbai.

Picked up a "stone"...

...to ask why he didn't take more local photos. Noticed my "glass walls".

So I started getting out more locally, mainly photo'ing buildings to start with.

But the Swindon and listed building groups were quiet.

So I started (Officially) England's Best Buildings.

And spent about a million hours on it. And I keep posting, even though work has taken over my life, it seems. Massively grateful to those who've kept it going over the years.

Meanwhile, passed 100,000, then a million, then 10 million!! total 'views' and 1000 (then 2000) views on one photo
