About me … Well, I just starting to be a blogger. But I am not sure if I will have the time and energy to maitain a blog. So, I teamed up with my sisters and mom to create a blog. That way, they can be interesting, and I have a place for show-and-tell. (you can find us at directionstohome.blogspot.com )

I love to sew, mainly clothing, and I do love to show-and-tell.

More about me …I started sewing in high school but it was not until my first baby was born did I become obsessed. My mother made my wedding dress and I told her I wanted to do the same for my new baby girl. She then advised that I better start sewing garments now so I will have the skills needed to complete such an ambitious project. And since she created three one-of-a-kind wedding dresses, I figured she would know. I started with simple things for Abi. Now, eight years later, I have gained a lot of skills but more than that, I have gained a love for sewing garments.

I am a working mother and my job is fulfilling, but much of it does not include a tangible product. Sewing gives me something that I can point to and say, “I did that.” And, it is fun to have them give me requests and dress them up the way I think a young child should look. Plus, now I am getting skilled enough to make custom clothes for me and that is lots of fun too.
