I am slowly changing the rights to Public Domain Work on all of my photos. If you want to download one of those photos please credit me. If you want to download a photo that I haven't yet changed the rights on, just send me an email to maggieinlondon@outlook.com
I rarely post photos here anymore. Since Flickr stopped it's relationship with Getty Images I no longer get any income from my photos so I see no point in using Flickr as much as I used to. I now post my photos onto Instagram. If you want to follow me there my id is '@maggielondonsw
I am a Getty Images Artist.
Most of my photos are of London, which is where I live. I love living here so much. I particularly love Its history and architecture.
I am now retired and spend nearly all my spare time exploring and photographing London.
As of November 2022 I no longer use a dSLR, they're too heavy and too bulky and to be honest my phone takes better photos and is far easier to use.
I now use a Canon G11 camera and an android phone, and occasionally my old iphone.
I take documentary type photos. For me photography is more about the subject and my desire to 'preserve' it.
I love old derelict buildings and any relics from a bygone age - signs, notices, artifacts etc.
Photography is very important in my life. It keeps me sane.
Photography also a validates my tendency to traipse the streets of London and if I carry a camera it stops me looking like a street person, as I am quite scruffy.
I am currently researching all the names on my local war memorial (Putney, London) and here's my blog

I always enjoy looking at Maggie's photographs, she has the ability to capture everyday life around London very well and make it personal... Her photos gives you an insight into London that most of us past by without seeing and in years to come will have changed beyond all recognition...
