My name is Tim. All though some area photographers may take an occasional photograph at night as an incidental part of their activity, my work is done exclusively at night. I'm Cape Cod's only photographic artists that shoots exclusively after dark. My portfolio represents the largest collection of after dark imagery of the area currently in existence. I'm also the author of Cape Cod Nights by Schiffer Publishing available via Amazon, Barnes and Noble and most book stores.

Nearly all of my work is completed at night, using moonlight or ambient light to illuminate my subjects. In some cases, I'll use a flashlight to "paint" color into the shadows. This technique is known as "light painting."

You'll also find that I avoid heavy processing techniques such as HDR. The greater majority of my work relies on timing and "in exposure" effects. HDR can often make a bad photograph look good, but rarely makes a good photograph look better.
