I'll take a photo of anything I find interesting or unusual. I'm passionate about capturing images of old parts of towns and cities, which includes fine historical and industrial architecture.

Vintage technology is another of my great interests, and without a doubt I am absolutely fanatical about the technological discoveries and developments from early to current times.

I am a committee member of the Preston Historical Society, one of Preston's oldest societies. Click here for their website

There's no doubt that Paul has one of the finest photo streams on Flickr. He has a keen eye for detail which often turns the mundane into magical. Paul often adds interest by placing his images within an historical context, inspiring me on to research people, places and events that I had no prior knowledge of. Despite all that has been lost to the demolition gangs in the city in recent decades, his photostream serves to remind me that their in still a good deal of old Preston that still remains to be discovered. His weekly Blog Preston articles make for interesting reading. They provide a brief yet interesting glimpse into the daily life of the town during the late Victorian and Edwardian period. Keep up the great work Paul.
