in the words of the great internet provider - this is under construction - as I am trying to think of something which would be interesting without sounding completely pretentious and something generally lighthearted....
born in liverpool (england) - home of the beatles, lives near penny lane, went to lennon's old school, home of liverpool football club which used to be the best football club in the world (a long road ahead to get back there I feel), sometime photographer, sometime (and long ago) musician - still write and record music in small studio....played in a few bands - have a look at - harkmatilda.tripod.com - for one of the old bands which has some memories....also myspace site at myspace.com/fadinghorses
recent years not so much playing in bands but mainly helping wth graphic designs and pr for bands (eg The Jalapenos - great local band and nice guys all round)....better mention, fervent Grateful Dead fan (since 1968) so stacks of live tapes and shows....also learning the magic of cubase so i can continue making music in my small home studio....
Photography?, only relatively new so I'm just a learner but eager to learn - when I make comments on other folks photos i try to be encouraging, after all we're not all perfect and no matter how long you've been doing it or or how good you are considered to be (or think you are) there's always a lesson to learn...may just add that anyone who puts a "flawed' comment type gif /icon on my photos and fails to follow their group rules about making a constructive comment about why and leaves it blank will be dumped straight away!
what I do hate is folk giving very low marks or making comments with words such as 'this photo has no interest to me etc etc'..- which I've had a few - damn selfish, as it shoud be about critiquing the photo not just your personal taste...
if you're going to a comment in that style don't bother...
most of my stuff is mainly taken around the Liverpool and Wirral area, however, with Spring approaching fast I expect tpo be getting out further into the big, wide world to become more diverse...

I never was any good at taking photographs, but with Gra's help, guidance and encouragement, I have begun to get where I am today. He is kind and generous with his time, and knowledge , and has an eye for perfection in anything he attempts to do. A much valued friendship, one which will last a lifetime. His portfolio is masterful and I would echo all of his previous testamonials...Thanks Gra for outstanding work to browse through. Elaine.

My friend, Graham...what can I say? Despite being as brilliant as Professor Stephen Hawkins, as witty as Ken Dodd's feather duster, oops, sorry "Tickling Stick", and as talented as George Lennon, he still deigns to correspond with this humble snapper on a daily basis! His pictures show off Liverpool to the world, in a most unexpected light. His work is moving, sensitive, technically brilliant and motivated by love of his beautiful city. Thanks, Graham, not only for providing me with a whole new outlook on your home town, but for your inspiration, kindness and wit too. Christmas card list, forget it, a blank cheque will do nicely! You old SCALLY!

I first became aware of Mr Digital, Graham, through his wonderfully passionate and exquisite photos of his home city Liverpool. His photos are of the highest quality in both processing and creation. His eye for detail is almost microscopic and his views of Merseyside and The Wirral are often, if not always breath taking and imaginative. We have since become good Flickr friends and I am often deeply indebted to him for his advice and tips; his humour is also a welcoming pleasure that makes being part of Flickr all the more enjoyable. One of, if not the best on Flickr. Any new visitor to this photo stream will need a lot of time and a lot of room in their favourites folder if they truly want to appreciate the experience. Maddie Digital is full resolution, that is for sure.

What can I say, he is an inspiration. Gray opened my eyes to photography, getting me to look at the world in a totally different way. Thanks for sharing your time and your infinite knowledge. Thanks for showing me the way, your a top bloke. Dee
For some reason the words "Are yer gonna bark all day little doggie, or are yer gonna bite" spring to mind. This dudes work always bites. Liverpool has never looked so good.
I have know Gra, a long time! He has always provided a great line! a great note! and great images....His photography is exceptional and daring! For me he is a good mate, who has got me seeing and doing things that I have only talked about. His scenes of the Pool' and Wirral are testament that he is as good as any Pro photographer , but adds a more personal touch and reaches new heights, with each assignment!

He has the ability to see beyond the surface and find the meaning in an everyday scene, the poetry of light and shadow, and the sense of existence, for good or bad, which I feel is the job of photography. There are few photographers on Flickr that have 'the vision". This is someone who does.
