I've been a birding fanatic since an early age with a few gaps for other pursuits during my time. Really love photographing birds and making recordings of them which you can find on Xeno-Canto

I currently shoot Canon after saving enough to now switch systems, what a relief.

I used to shoot with a Pentax K3D ii/K-5D/K20D (all three bodies have issues, screen died, mount issues, focus issues, low light handling sucks) and a Pentax 300mm F2.8 (from the 1990's since Pentax is too slow to release a new 300mm and keep up with modern lenses) with a 1.4x converter and 1.7x af converter (both now broken). I've also got a Pentax 200mm F2.8 (it only works because I don't use it), and a Pentax 150-450mm F4-5.6 (broke after one month). On my fourth flash in as many years. I've also digiscoped with a Pentax Optio A30 (died) and a Pentax PF80ED (returned twice) scope with 20x60 eyepiece and PF1 mount. In short don't buy Pentax products, service sucks, quality sucks and staff unfriendly and unhelpful. I just stuck with them as it was the system I had with lens etc... and I couldn't afford to switch to Cannon (until now) see ya Pentax! Thanks for nothing.
