I was sorely tempted to mark "other" for Gender.... Other???

I know little about photography... only that I love to make photographs, the closer up the better. Thank you Freeman Patterson for teaching me long ago about making, not taking photos.

An ex-pat from England and Canada, I live in Costa Rica with my dog, Heidi. She is a frequent subject of my photos, along with churches and insects. My sense of humour keeps me alive, and I love to explore places and spaces new to me. I hate filling in profiles. That's it for now... I may fill in more at a later date. Or not.

I hope you enjoy browsing through my humble offerings.

My feelings on GIF awards/comments ...

I, like most people, enjoy visits to my stream. Even better if a comment on what you like or don't like about the photos is left. But, like many people, I find it cold and impersonal to see a commentless comment, ie, a GIF left with no thoughts about what you saw. A few of these on each photo detracts from the work, clutters up the page, and the real comments get lost in the mess.

So please, if you don't have the time or the inclination to leave some thoughts on my photo, please don't leave your GIF. Thanks for your consideration!
