Bought a D3200 and a 55-300 nikkor lens. This is my journey from pretending to know how to use it to knowing how to use it badly, as well as my (hopefully plenty) travels. The family has since been joined by a nikkor 35mm 1.8 and a Sigma 10-20. Sadly, the D3200 was (violently) introduced to the powers of gravity in a cobblestone street in Istanbul. After much crying it has been replaced by a D5300 and a nikkor 60mm macro has also joined the clan. We are back to all being happy together. The Sigma was recently replaced with a nikkor 20 1.8. Heartless, I know, but I'm getting by with the pain. A recent trip saw a D850 being purchased. A lot of running around (happily) screaming ensued and the crop gave way for full-frame goodness. It hates me, but I love it so.
