"Follow your bliss." - Joseph Campbell
With more than 15 years in creative media production industry, Chad Kerychuk is a multi-talented, graphics artist, illustrator, motion graphics designer, app creator, writer/director/producer, and digital media consultant. He is lucky enough to follow his dreams as a member of feature film & television production Art Departments creating graphics, illustrations, apps, and visualizations for playback. He also recently served as a Family Room Specialist at The Apple Store working alongside amazing people, world-changing technology and software and outstanding clients.
In the past, he has served as a Producer for Zeros 2 Heroes Media, a Vancouver-based social media company best known for creating Zeros2Heroes.com, a thriving social network that connects thousands of creators, producers and fans of genre entertainment (comic books, video games, film/TV) in a collaborative and creative environment.
As the Accelerator Program Coordinator for the Banff New Media Institute, Chad facilitated some of the creative and technical workshops, market access programs, international partnerships, and development of new proposals for digital media production. Along with a core group of incredible partners, he was instrumental in bringing several world-renowned film, TV, and comic book artists as well as animators, designers, directors, producers, writers, programmers, and other talent to several acclaimed workshops in Alberta.
While operating his own production company Digital Dream Machine, Chad has directed the creation of interactive educational/entertainment software for a variety of world-class museums, organizations, and individuals including The Royal Tyrrell Museum, The Jurassic Foundation, and Cleveland Museum of Natural History. In addition, Chad serves as a writer/editor for several popular blogs. Chad has previously served as a creative architect for several top media production companies including Blackstone Multimedia Corporation, TELUS Advertising Services/Alberta.com, TELUS Multimedia, and Chronos Productions.
Along with partners, he works on entertaining and educational projects with talent who have come from such diverse companies and organizations as: Lucasfilm, Pixar Animation Studios, Sony Pictures Imageworks, NBC Universal, Cartoon Network, Hotrocket, University of Alberta, Dreamspeakers Film Festival, and many more.
Chad's appreciation for the film, TV and digital content creative industries is demonstrated by providing guidance for Digital Alberta (the Digital Media Association of Alberta) and developing The Alberta Movie Guide, a blog devoted to film and television production information in the province.
He has also been gaining international recognition for his unique stories and his photography. Not only have his photos of paleontological subjects been featured in the Associated Press (with distribution around the world) but also websites such as Flickr, Boing Boing, Schmap, and many other International publications online and in print showcase his work.
