Just a wee laddie from Glasgow. Spent 8 years living in Hawick then moved to Selkirk but now i am back in Cumbernauld. I originally started taking photos simply out of my love for castles and historic buildings and soon was taking pics of scenery and cars and basically anything else that takes my fancy, cant claim they are all good photos right enough lol, but hey, we all gotta start somewhere. i like to go wandering, there are some truly beautiful places in Scotland that are crying out to be photographed so why disappoint.

The photo below is my favorite among the photo's i have taken, It is Loch Awe in Argyll, Scottish Highlands. It was taken in 2010 and i think its my best work yet.

The pics were taken on a simple Olympus C-480 4 megapixel camera, an Olympus FE-120 6 megapixel camera and my trusty Sony K800i Cybershot and my LG Viewty phones. well sometimes you just dont have a camera handy lol. I had been using an Olympus FE-310 8 megapixel camera and a Kodak Z8612 IS 8 Megapixel camera. A Sony Alpha A200 DSLR 10 Megapixel Camera. Sony Alpha SLT-A33 14 Megapixel (Dont buy one, they are Shite). Sony Alpha SLT-A58 20 Megapixel (Excellent Camera). I am currently armed with a Sony Alpha SLT-A77 24 Megapixel so the rest have been fired lol

I have recently been going through the groups i am a member of and removing myself from some of them. Groups with high volumes of membership are a particular waste of time and energy in my opinion. if you post to a group with a high membership level your photo will quickly end up on page 4 or 5 and wont be viewed, and that is a waste in my opinion. Also groups that want you to comment on 5 pics for every 1 you post. honestly, what is that all about?? that is way too excessive. so simply put. please dont invite me to join groups with thousands of members or that require any more than 2 comments for every 1 post.

Recently i have been removing myself from what seems like a high amount of groups that i was in, mostly for the above stated reasons. but one other reason is this invited images only. so in these groups some power hungry little hitler has decided that only images invited by them will appear in their groups. there seem to be loads of these around, and from what i can see, trust me, your groups are not that special! and some even have the nerve to call themselves things like flickrs best and such. oh yeah? who says? get a grip power hungry little hitlers! I wonder if anyone actually reads this crap anyway. so as a little test, if you have read any of this, tell me what the name of the shelby GT500 is in the movie Gone in 60 Seconds..........

One other question. can anyone explain in laymans terms how photo's get on explore??? to be 100% honest, the times i have flicked through explore, 95% of the photos in there are simply crap! there is no other word for it. sorry guys but its true. so i would like to know who picks them, and why. It seems that is a question no one can answer. Recently i have again been astounded by the utter Shite that makes it onto explore. Unbelievable
