Home is Scotland,, we have been in The Netherlands then in India - and are currently back in the Netherlands.
I currently use the Canon SX50 having resisted getting a dslr (for the convenience of being able to carry a camera anywhere, anytime). Previously I used both a Canon S5IS with telephoto lens - VCL-DH1758 and a Nikon P80 (for lowlight shots). I then progressed to a Canon Powershot SX40. I was seduced by the 50x zoom of the SX50 and both the SX40 and SX50 have far exceeded the abilities of previous cameras (apart from the ease of using manual - why have you made it so awkward, Canon?). The S5 was an upgrade from the S2 IS and my first digital camera was a tiny Konika Minolta Dimage.

I actively administer on Literary Reference in Pictures which is a constant source of pleasure for me. My thanks go to Peggy for initiating this great group.
I started Hands, Claws and All Kinds of Paws after being inspired by the wonderful shots I was seeing of hands, particularly this one by algo.
As I work through various cameras, I find myself involved with the Canon Powershot SX40 and the Canon SX50 HS groups too.

Note: Galleries - mostly, I don't mind you adding things to a gallery so long as you are a genuine flickr member.
Unfortunately, due to one particular site offering my photos for sale, despite the clear copyright marking, I have removed access to larger sizes of my photos. This is a really sad state of affairs. The photos appear to have been accessed through Flickr Hive Mind.

I love her photos of Scotland, a place long in my conciousness because of my Scottish heritage. Keep up the great work, Lynn! Gary

She's one of those hard working, generous and warm people who always gives more comments than I give back, and I feel a twinge of shame and selfishness every time I see her cheerful icon! She's no mean photographer either, and always manages to find great thought-provoking literary references to counterpoint a nice photo. She should write a book! I think it would do rather well...
