I grew up with the coal industry and the devastation it has caused to the landscape. The coal may be gone - however the spoil and devastation caused to our landscape is part of our regional history. I am a painter and my inspiration comes from the north east coast although cleaned up and spoil heaps have been levelled the remainder clean up is left to the natural action of the sea. I try to convey my feelings through photography and my paintings where I mix layer and add organic materials.

DEE SHAW says:

I have laughed with Lyndaseed for a lot of years and have seen her emerge like a Painted Lady butterfly with her assortments of paints, bitumen, brasso, turps and varnishes and numerous other noxious materials to create her fabulous canvas walls! I look forward to the next ones...Viva Arte!
