The world we know is in grave danger. The more pictures I've taken, the more I learned about how many species are rare, threatened or critically endangered. Not somewhere far away but here at my doorstep as well as everywhere on the planet.

"Human actions threaten more species with global extinction now than ever before. An average of around 25 per cent of species in assessed animal and plant groups are threatened [...], suggesting that around 1 million species already face extinction, many within decades, unless action is taken to reduce the intensity of drivers of biodiversity loss. Without such action, there will be a further acceleration in the global rate of species extinction, which is already at least tens to hundreds of times higher than it has averaged over the past 10 million years."*

We must act NOW. No more excuses.

Global mass extinction is real, as well as climate crisis. And both of them are human-made.

Totally in love with nature, or better, what's still left of her. Among other things, I create and develop environmental protection games ( lycaena.itch.io ).

With my camera's help, I can treasure the uniqueness and marvel of every flower, plant, tree, insect, stone, bird or other creature. And sometimes, if I'm lucky enough, even capture a hint of it.

Most of the pictures have been taken in my garden or on my horses' pastures. Everyday I discover something new that I have never seen before. I'm very grateful and I hope you enjoy the little glimpses of my world.

Meine Kamera hilft mir, die Einzigartigkeit und das Wundersame jeder Blume, jedes Baums, Insekts, Steins, Vogels oder anderen Kreatur besser zu erkennen. Manchmal, wenn ich Glück habe, gelingt es mir eine Spur davon festzuhalten.

Die Bilder nehme ich gewöhnlich in meinem Garten oder auf meinen Pferdeweiden auf. Jeden Tag entdecke ich dabei etwas Neues. Dafür bin ich sehr dankbar und ich hoffe, euch gefallen die Eindrücke aus meiner kleinen Welt.
