What can I say, I'm a biking and walking guy looking for ideas to improve the world for cyclists and pedestrians. I use my galleries to show off what we are doing in Victoria and to showcase good ideas (or bad) from everywhere I travel (and I do like to travel, with bike). Sprinkled among those collections are personal expressions. Now and again, a scene invites me to shoot and they are there to enjoy.

Oh, and a new update. Last year (2008) I was elected to Victoria City Council, so I've got a new venue through which to promote sustainability and other issues. WEll that ended quickly, lost the next one in 2011.

First update since, now the fading days of 2018. Still marginally involved in politics and always a thumb in the pie when it comes to cycling, walking and urban design issues. If any of those turn your crank, you may find images that provoke a thought or two.

You will note that my obsession tilts towards bicycle parking. It is essential to the cycling ecosystem. Bike trips have an origin and destination, and what to do with the bike at the end of the ride is important to the security of your property and the condition of your machine. High levels of service are easy to achieve. Many reach but few grasp. Hardware, site planning and the other elements of engineering to deliver bicycle parking that makes the grade is increasingly in evidence, but just as much junk remains on the landscape. With any luck, the images as much as the words I share can help those who strive to do better find an idea or a solution that works for them.
