I’ve had an avid interest in all aspects of World War II history and popular culture of the 1930s and 1940s since childhood. My first novel, Flying Time, a historical fantasy set during World War II, was published in 2016, setting off an unlikely series of events that lead to visiting the Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Palau, Fiji, the Marianas, Guam, and Sicily and resulted in the repatriation of an MIA American soldier. My new novel, Ivy Linden and the Treasure of Skull Island, captures the spirit of those adventures, along with my love of plants and other cultures. Set in 1938, it is the first book of a series about the adventures of ethnobotanist Ivy Linden and was released in 2023 by Cordata Press.
