I don't believe in truth in photography... but I don't like my photos lying.
Favorite camera gear
System: Nikon FG-20 with 28mm f/2.8 AI-s.
Digital system: Nikon D800 with 28mm f/2.8 AI-s.
Pinhole: Size 12 Nike shoebox converted to camera in 1999. I jest... It's a New Balance box.
I might be a "gearhead" — I have more lenses than the zone system has zones, but I tell myself this is only because I have duplicates or lesser builds to withstand my rough handling. Thank goodness for inexpensive, quality manual focus lenses! The only thing to worry about is my viewfinder and focus shift when stopping down!
Adjustments
Digital
All images have been downsized for the web. Other adjustments/post-processing, if any, are included in the image description. I tend not to fiddle with exposure and colour after capture: my monitor has a hard time displaying colours, so fiddling with exposure and colour correction is mostly pointless; thus, what you see are probably not the colours and shades I intended to capture. Rarely "chimping" doesn't help, either. This is from pretending I'm shooting a heavier version of my Nikon F3 camera with a smaller, darker viewfinder and a (crummy) matte focusing screen.
Physical
Unless otherwise specified, everything is shot as-is. No added artificial lighting, no posing, no physical manipulation. Truth?
Film
All scans from negatives have been cropped to remove unexposed portions of the film.
Don't pay too much heed to the map coordinates: they're from memory and I have no sense of direction.
