At eight years old, I took apart my Speak-N-Spell to find out how it worked. Much to my younger siblings' dismay, after I figured it out, I failed to put it back together. Next up was my Teddy Ruxpin, a Sony VCR, a computer, and so on... I got my first Polaroid camera at the age of 15 and used all of the film that it came with in one day. I just loved the process of taking a photo and seeing it turn up on the flimsy film just moments later.

My passion and drive to learn about technology turned into a career in information technology. It also enabled me to learn about things such as home theater systems, video game consoles, and, my favorite, cameras.

Learning what makes a camera work was the reason I got into photography. My first digital camera was a simple Kodak point-and-shoot camera and as my income grew, so did my camera budget. Soon my family and friends began asking me to take photos at weddings, parties, and other events. Their praise and constant validation has made me want to take more photos and has now turned that into a money-making hobby.

I've been fortunate enough to have several of my photos featured in publications, in print, online, and as of 2011, network television.

Even though I've come a long way as a photographer, I still feel like I have a lot to learn about taking more artistic photos and the newest camera technology.
