Everybody can readily see that Luís is a first class photographer. All you have to do is to look a t a few of his photos. That is in itself a lot, but it would not be enough for me to write a testimonial. As Reathel and others before me noted in their testimonials, Luís has this wonderful mix of kindness combined with incisive photographic judgement. You can rely on Luís to give you an informed, competent, factual, actionable feedback that many serious photographers need and seek. I certainly do. Luís helped me grow early on when some others of his caliber were not ready to offer a helping hand. I value that. For me, Luís is one of the pillars of PP that keeps the standards high and who gives the group its spirit. Some of my comments are well meant and intended to be actionable and constructive but they are sometimes tough. I have a sense that Luís understands the constructive intent and that he takes criticism well. Luís is one of the few people on PP that I value the most and that makes me always come back. I want to share what Luis means to me. I had become disillusioned with Flickr when I met Luis. He opened up a world of people who were interested in building relationships through sharing their photographic vision. His vision in particular is an inspiration. Each photograph he shares is well thought out and full of meaning. Luis though is much more than a talented photographer, he is a genuine human being in the best sense of the term. He shows a love for his craft and a love for sharing his experiences and thoughts with other Flickr members in the most constructive way. He has been an example to me of what is best about Flickr and people in general. I'd be proud to have a print of his on my wall and even more happy to share some early morning coffee on the way to one of his favorite beaches. Thanks Luis.

I am always impressed by his skill in rendering natural spots and moods, and I truly enjoy the "philosophy" implied in his shots and captions. It's a true pleasure for me to visit his stream regurarly ! Gradually, Luis style and approach to photography became a "model to pursue" in developing my own passion for photos !
