I was a-wondering why Lucy has no testimonials, and now I've started to write one, I understand why. It is a daunting task! Lucy states in her profile that she is a beginner and this makes me think - if she is a beginner, perhaps I haven't been born yet! Lucy says that her photographic journey started as an outward one and then turned inwards - and this shows in her work. She follows the seasons and the land closely and loves what is around her. She turns everyday plants, seedheads and trees into something with universal appeal. There are portraits too, she treats all her subjects with care. And then, of course, there is her delicate skill in processing the photos she takes - she has the lightest of touches and creates delicate magic. Last, but certainly not least, are the poems - the many quotes she seems to have at her finger tips - she has the ability to make an image that relates to her chosen words, although sometimes it almost seems as if it may be the other way round and the poet was waiting for Lucy's picture. Lucy is a consummate artist. I recommend her photostream wholeheartedly.
