Sometimes it's nice to do the wrong thing, the gut wrenching stupid crass option, because it's far more evanescent and fulfilling to know being called out in the wrong is far more productive than being nestled in with the right. It's not about testing waters or mapping cause and effect. The two really come into play when we survey our paths to alleged and formulated success. Question one: you're not dependent when A) Luke builds his own figure into an equation of images through ‘himself’ as a multiple. B) Luke asks us to define a doctrine of morality by limiting and saturating colors; leaving the viewer with a roll of caution tape, a sharpie, and a stack of 'hello my name is' stickers. C) Luke obstructs the image plane and our spatial/object understanding so we're more apt to accept a narrative; he knows we're all delicate to absolving impressions in that state. D) Luke uses chance and guided mannerisms to console our request for lamps, clocks, and outdated reading material in the waiting room. Question two: its okay only if A) Luke layers images and textures to diffuse points of interest and create an apprehensive entrance for the viewer--but we only notice this once we've put our hands on the nearest coiled stove top burner. B) Luke 'makes' with a forward facing wholehearted intuition, a veil of honesty. And an unquestionable and perpetual investigation of the visual mapping of how words sound. C) If he's not visually mapping how words sound-- he's telling us about the spaces in-between them with illustrations of ground beef sanitizing machinery on grid paper. D) It’s all-relative and all right there in his photostream, see for your self. Score: slackjaw. 'I won't shake what you mean. I want to make things like that clear. whole (and) in your heart' []
