They say when it is your birthday, you reflect on your life and be thankful of the blessings you received for the year. For me, that is Lucian. After being inactive for 9 long years, I started posting again and I stumbled upon Lucian in another contact's photo. He was so witty that I had to visit his stream. That has been a year and he continuously amazes me with his talent and skill. If you look at his stream, you would know that it took him hours of meticulous work to produce exceptional photos. He says he has been technical since kindergarten and it shows in his photos. He simply plans, executes and delivers. He continuously seeks knowledge and opportunities to make him a better photographer. His commitment and passion to his craft is simply unmatched. And if you happen to read his comment section, you would find a humble, warm-hearted, smart and funny person who is loved by his virtual friends. Suffice to say that he is one of the persons I admire most here in Flickr. He pushes me to be better in his own gentle nudging. I learned a lot from him not only about photography but also about music, food, exercise and just about anything that makes life worth living. My life is simply enriched with his presence.

How you work with natural light is simply breathtaking - but you're also a master of shot composition, of color and of framing. I can see how much thought and deliberation went into every detail of every photo; you may capture moments and moods, but it seems to me nothing is incidental, and you're actually more of a painter and a composer than you are an observer who just waits for the perfect moment (although I'm sure you are that too).
