Self-defined as "Lucas Countyan," I'm a believer --- in the two southern tiers of Iowa counties from coast (west bank of the Mississippi River) to coast (east bank of the Missouri River). And in their beauty, people and potential (while roaming elsewhere now and then, too).

Basic camera equipment. Limited skill. But I've downloaded thousands of images to the hard drive during years and years of blogging. Some of these are going up here now, but gradually.

Home is Chariton, where I serve currently as president of the Lucas County Historical Society, a member of the Chariton Historic Preservation Commission, a board member of Chariton Area Chamber/Main Street and on the vestry of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
